Seagrind overlooks Scalloway in the Shetland Islands with clear views to the Island of Foula thirty miles away on the western horizon and Fair Isle to the south, half way to the Orkney Islands. Our small stud started in 1995 with the unexpected acquisition of Waterloo Barnaby as a colt foal together with Hildasay Caster to keep him company. Barnaby's win as the Cunningsburgh Show overall Junior Champion in 1998 prompted our interest to breed and led to the subsequent acquisition of quality young filly foals originating from a number of the top studs in the Shetland Islands. We have brought all our mares on from young foals and over the past three years they have bred quality foals. We hope you enjoy the web page and feel free to make contact with us.
